I've done a little of everything - game designer, corporate communications, web content development, editing, writing, teaching literature, teaching FYC, and now I'm Associate Director of SCADextra (*jazz hands*) - fancy way of saying I run the writing and tutoring centers for SCAD Atlanta.
MA in English (Early Modern Drama) from GSU, MAPW in applied professional writing from KSU, BA from Wesleyan in English/Medieval Studies. I'm a R/C concentration for my PhD now, with interests in pedagogy, popular culture, WAC/WID, genre theory, game narrative, interactive/immersive storytelling, and first year composition.
I have two black cats, Sam and Dean, I do yoga on a semi-regular basis, and I am an avid live-action roleplaying game player/designer.
Classical rhetoric is unfamiliar ground for me, but I have coursework in visual rhetoric and have worked with many grad students on rhetoric-adjacent subjects, and how behavior is shaped by fashion, the built environment, advertising, the interfaces we use to access technology, etc.
